The Bataan Death March remains to this day as one of the worst atrocities of World War II. Many of those who marched were tortured and killed, and those who survived would only live to trade one form of torture for another. The march and the events that follow is a tragic story of bloodshed, suffering and sadness, but it is also a story of hope, bravery and heroism. The soldiers who would surrender to the hands of their enemies would endure so much more in the course of three years than what many of us would endure in our entire lifetime. It is time to remember the prisoners, remember the heroes, and remember Bataan.
